Printing at the Miramar College Library

Print from campus computers using your Student ID. Printing is available in Black & White or Color.

Quick Info

  • Black & White: $0.10 per page
  • Color: $0.50 per page
  • Payment: Cash or coins only
  • No mobile printing or guest printing available

What You'll Need

  • Student ID card
  • Cash or coins for payment (card & electronic payment is not accepted at this time)
  • Your file ready to print (PDF recommended)

How to Print

  1. Sign in to a library desktop computer.
  2. Open your file and select Print.
  3. Choose a printer:
  • B&W Printer for black & white
  • Color Printer for color
  1. Go to the Copy Center near the front Circulation Desk.
  2. Add funds at the pay station (cash or coins only).
  3. Swipe your Student ID at the printer station.
  4. Select your document from the list.
  5. Tap Print to release your job.

Copying at the Miramar College Library

Make photocopies quickly at the Copy Center using cash or your Campus ID card.

Quick Info

  • Copies are $0.10 per page
  • Sizes available: 8.5" x 11" and 11" x 17"
  • Payment: Cash (bills, quarters, dimes, nickels) or Campus ID card
  • Three photocopiers available in the Copy Center
  • Copyright laws apply to all copying

Before You Copy

  • Have your document ready to copy
  • Make sure you have cash or a funded Campus ID card
  • If using your ID card, add funds at the Add Value machine first

How to Copy

  1. Go to the Copy Center near the Circulation Desk.
  2. Choose an available copier.
  3. Make payment using your Campus ID card or insert cash.
  4. Place your document on the glass or in the feeder.
  5. Select the number of copies you need.
  6. Press Start to begin copying.

Good To Know

All copying must follow U.S. copyright laws. Only legally permitted materials may be copied.

Scanning at the Miramar College Library

Scan documents for free and save them as PDFs. You can send scans to your email or download them to a USB drive.

  • Best for: Single pages or quick scans
  • Fast option for one-page documents

Xerox DocuMate 3125

  • Best for: Multiple loose pages
  • Use when scanning stacks of papers

How to Scan

  1. Choose a scanner based on what you’re scanning.
  2. Place your document on the scanner or in the feeder.
  3. Select PDF as your file type.
  4. Choose where to send your file (email or USB).
  5. Hit Start Scan and save your file when finished.

Good to Know

You can scan up to 20% of a book or textbook to stay within copyright rules.
