Welcome
The Rising Scholars program provides support for formerly incarcerated students at San Diego Miramar College. We also have a partnership with the Miramar Naval Consolidated Brig, one of only three military prisons in the United States that houses members of all military branches, located at the nearby Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar, and offer a degree program in Entrepreneurship there.
We are part of the statewide Rising Scholars Network.

A Rising Scholar is any current or prospective student who has been incarcerated, has had interactions with the carceral system, and/or has loved ones who have been affected by the carceral system.
