The Fire Protection and Technology program is excited to announce the opportunity for a Study Abroad program in January 2027 for students enrolled in the FIPT 120 - Firefighter Safety and Survival class.
Designed for students seeking global experience, the program provides direct engagement with international firefighter training, advanced survival skills, and diverse emergency-response methods. It is intended to strengthen career readiness by opening doors to international professional networking and resume-building experiences.

Students interested in the Study Abroad Program can register for our informational Zoom session which will be held at 3:00 pm on April 24th, 2026. After registering, students will receive a confirmation email containing details about joining the meeting.

Estimated program cost is approximately $3,335-$4,120 (excluding airfare, meals, visa fees, some local transportation, or optional upgrades). All costs are estimates and subject to change. Costs may decrease if enrollment exceeds 25 students. Grant and scholarship options may be available to students who wish to participate. - Please complete this form to confirm your commitment to enroll. This form is being utilized to confirm your plan to enroll for the Study Abroad Course in January of 2027. There is no financial commitment at this time; this form is provided to ensure we have a minimum number of interested students before financially committing.
- The Study Abroad Coordinator ( Professor Laura Gonzalez, [email protected] ) will send you three (3) eligibility, health, and student conduct forms. This program has a limited number of spots, and each student's eligibility will need to be verified before paying a deposit.
- If you are cleared to participate, congratulations! Once the program has enough students with completed forms, we will clear you to send your deposit.
- We will send you details about the payment process and provide a link. Pay your deposit to WorldStrides before September 17th, 2026.
