Each year, our Sponsor-A-Family/Student Holiday Winterfest initiative provides financial and holiday support to our low-income student parents and former foster youth, many of whom face significant financial challenges during the holiday season.

The Aspen Institute has named San Diego Miramar College as one of 200 institutions eligible to compete for the 2027 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence worth $1 million dollars. This is the nation’s premier recognition of high achievement and performance among two-year colleges. The 200 colleges were selected based on their student outcomes data, including retention, completion, transfer, and bachelor’s attainment rates.

We’re pleased to announce the 2025 Scholarship Application Season is officially open!  This is a great chance for students to apply for scholarships that recognize academic excellence, leadership, community involvement, and financial need.

Miramar College, pending SDCCD board approval, has received a $469,540 Advanced Technological Education (ATE) grant from the National Science Foundation, the U.S. government’s independent science agency.
