Rep. Scott Peters was on campus August 3 to announce a new $975,000 federal grant that will help support our students in need of online textbooks.

KPBS was on campus to cover a new $975,000 federal textbook grant headed to Miramar College students and those attending the San Diego Community College District.

A $975,000 federal grant has been awarded to the San Diego Community College District to expand a program that provides free online textbooks and resources to students, saving them the cost of buying expensive books for their classes. A news conference was held at Miramar College on August 3 to make the formal announcement.

ABC 10 San Diego was on campus to cover a new textbook grant headed toward Miramar College and the San Diego Community College District. This grant will help provide access to Open Ended Resource (OER) Textbooks. 

In an effort to provide a Guided Pathway for students to better navigate completion of their degree/certificate program(s), Miramar College has created a program mapper, which debuted in July 2022.

High school seniors, high school diploma/equivalency and GED graduates can apply by Monday, August 15, 2022, for up to two years of free tuition and health fees toward San Diego City, Mesa, or Miramar colleges through the San Diego Promise.

June 13: Class schedule available online

June 15: View your fall registration date and time via the mySDCCD portal

June 21: Priority registration begins

July 13: Open registration begins

August 22: Fall primary 16-week session begins

September 2: Add/Drop/Refund deadline for primary 16-week session

October 28: Primary 16-week withdrawal deadline 

December 17: Primary 16-week session ends
