SERVICE LEARNING SUPPLY CHAIN EXPERIENCE (SCE) $1000 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Service-Learning Supply Chain Experience (SCE) prepares students for employment in the life sciences industry by providing education and career counseling, job searching skills, laboratory technical skills training and resume building. Students will also participate in an unpaid internship where they will gain work experience in the Miramar Biotech Lab by manufacturing products for customers.

$1000 Scholarship Requirements:
- Commit to and complete 50 hours of BIOL 277L (SCE)
- Stay enrolled in fall 2023 OR complete certificate/degree/transfer
- Must be interested in pursuing a job in the sciences
BIOLOGY 132
In Applied Biotech I, students will learn entry-level skills common to the biotechnology industry, such as aseptic techniques, laboratory safety, and biological media and solution preparation.

In Quality and Regulatory Practices in Biotechnology, provides students with an introduction to basic quality principles and tools with an emphasis on their application in biotechnology.
