Miramar College President Dr. Wesley Lundburg has been named to the San Diego Business Journal's Top 50 Influential Veteran Business Leaders for 2022.  

The San Diego Community College District – which includes San Diego City, Mesa, Miramar, and Continuing Education colleges – will no longer require face coverings on district property beginning December 19. 

Miramar College assembled a Land Acknowledgement Task Force in August. That group released the following campus Land Acknowledgement statement on Nov. 4, 2022:

Miramar College hosted the second annual Dr. Constance Carroll Lecture Series Equity Summit Oct. 27-28. The two-day event began Thursday, Oct. 27 at 4pm with a keynote address from Dr. Luke Lara in L-105 (library auditorium).

Miramar College has been granted $2.5 million dollars from California to upgrade resources to its Veteran and active duty military students and their dependents. The funding, spearheaded by Assemblymember Brian Maienschein, was part of Governor Gavin Newsom’s 2022-2023 state budget passed this summer. These funds will provide enhanced services and infrastructure for the College’s military community.
