The College has been receiving questions about the impact of Hurricane Hilary on college operations and classes. While we don’t anticipate any schedule changes or emergency procedures, we encourage you to check the college website and Miramar College social media for any updates on Sunday evening or Monday morning prior to departing for the campus.
Students attending San Diego City, Mesa, and Miramar colleges as well as the College of Continuing Education now have access to their own personal student email. All students are encouraged to visit sdccd.edu/student-email to set up their account.
Here is a list of important dates for the Fall 2023 semester:
August 17-Campus offices closed for staff/faculty professional development
August 21-Fall semester primary 16-week session begins
Sept. 1-Add/Drop/Refund Deadline for primary 16-week session
Sept. 4-Labor Day, no classes
Oct. 16-Eight week classes begin
Oct. 27-Withdrawal Deadline for 16-week session
Nov. 10-Veterans Day, no classes
Nov. 20-25-Thanksgiving Holiday, no classes in session
De. 17-Fall session ends

Miramar College English Professor, Adrian Arancibia authored a July 6 Op-Ed piece in the San Diego Union Tribune. His opinion piece focused on local artists who struggle to afford to stay in the community.
The Miramar College Automotive Technology department has had its ASE Education Foundation accreditation extended through June of 2028.
