San Diego Miramar College's Really, Really Free Closet returns to campus on Nov. 7 & 8. The 7th annual clothing giveaway event will take place from 10am-2pm in room K1-107 of the Student Services Building. Donations of slightly used clothing are now being accepted throughout campus. Students from the San Diego Unified School District spent Friday, Oct. 19 on the Miramar College campus learning about all the wonderful Career Education programs that Miramar College has to offer. The intent of the "Discover Your Drive" event was to strengthen the College’s K-14 CTE pathways by exposing students to our amazing advanced transportation programs.

The San Diego Community College Board of Trustees approved the acceptance of two grants totaling $350,000 for San Diego Miramar College at its Nov. 8 board meeting.
California State Controller Betty Yee visited the San Diego Miramar College campus on Nov. 26 to learn about the College’s food insecurity program and tour the College’s food pantry.
San Diego Miramar College has received two grants totaling $20,000.00 from San Diego Gas & Electric to continue to fund its successful Vets-2-Jets program. The first grant in the amount of $7,500 was received on June 11, 2018. A second grant in the amount of $12,500 was received on Dec. 7, 2018.

You can still add a course by receiving an add code from the class instructor. The last day to add a course for the primary 16-week spring 2019 session is Friday, February 8. A new set of 8-week courses will begin on April 1, 2019. Check the online schedule (link above) for a schedule of class offerings.

The United States Postal Service in San Diego dedicated a new forever stamp honoring first responders during a ceremony at San Diego Miramar College on Jan. 25, 2019.
The San Diego Miramar College Foundation received a $10,000.00 grant from SDG&E to support the College’s Fire Technology program.
On Jan. 25, 2019, during the United States Post Office First Responders Forever Stamp unveiling, San Diego Gas & Electric made the $10,000 check presentation.
