Miramar College art student Hanna Hunter has been accepted to the world-renowned School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she will be majoring in painting. SAIC is one of the most prestigious Art schools in the nation. It has been named “The most influential art school in the United States" by Columbia University’s Art Critics National Arts Journalism Survey and ranks among the top of 220 fine arts graduate programs—U.S. News and World Report . Hanna will be graduating from Miramar College this May, earning an Associate of Arts in Studio Arts for Transfer Degree (A.A.-T).
Hunter’s art work is on display through May 6 at the San Diego Central Library as part of the “You are Here” art exhibit. The exhibit features the work of 26 artists from 13 different San Diego higher education art departments. Hanna’s art professor Jessica McCambly also has her art work displayed at the library.
