Your reputation precedes you. As we came in to support Miramar under Measure HH, organically, we were told of your strong leadership, shared from your peers. I think that speaks to the impact you have had and legacy you will leave. Thank you for your leadership and your impact in better San Diego! And don’t forget me when I come for a visit in a Portugal!

Thanks for your wonderful service to change the culture at Miramar. Enjoy Portugal, I may come visit sometime as my partner has flight benefits! And I am going to 50 percent load in spring 2027.

On behalf of San Diego Hua Xia Chinese School, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to President Wes Lundburg for his many years of support and kindness toward our school and community.

For many years, Miramar College has provided a welcoming campus for Hua Xia to hold our Sunday Chinese school. This partnership has given generations of students a place to learn the Chinese language, experience Chinese culture, and build lasting connections within the San Diego community. President Lundburg’s support and commitment to education and community have meant so much to our students, families, teachers, and volunteers.

Thank you, Wes, for welcoming Hua Xia as part of the Miramar College community and for helping make our Sunday school possible year after year. We are truly grateful for your friendship and support, and we wish you much happiness and fulfillment in this wonderful new chapter of retirement.

Wes helped us understand the real need for our project, the Performing arts , English and Gallery, to provide a supportive 3rd space for students, to hang out and find themselves on campus as a full person.
