Basic Needs Syllabus Statement
Being able to meet your basic needs is foundational to your success as a student at Miramar College. If you are having difficulty affording food, lack a stable place to live, or are struggling to meet another need, the campus has resources for you. Our Jet Fuel Resource Center supports Miramar students with services like 1:1 case management, the Jet Fuel Food Pantry, Flight Suit (free clothing), workshops, and more.

Be the Bridge | Connect Students to Basic Needs Department
If you know of a Miramar College student who is facing challenges with access to adequate food, stable housing, affordable childcare, or meeting other basic needs, you can refer a student to complete the Basic Needs screener. We will review the form, and the student will be able to schedule an appointment with a Basic Needs Counselor to discuss resources or answer any questions. Due to the volume of requests for support, it might be a few business days before the student receives an outreach email from our team.
