Miramar College is hosting a spring Jets Jump Start for all new students on January 22, 2024 from 10am-3pm on campus. New students will have the opportunity to learn about the services and programs offered at Miramar College such as tutoring and financial aid.
The Regional Entrepreneurship Center (REC Innovation Lab) at San Diego Miramar College will host a grand opening of its new on-campus facility Wednesday, Jan. 24 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the C-1 Diesel Technology Building located at 10440 Black Mountain Road.
Claudia Estrada-Howell has been named Dean of the School of Business, Technical Careers & Workforce Initiatives. Estrada-Howell was serving as Acting Dean of BTCWI since July 1, 2023. She began her new role January 2, 2024.
It is with great sadness and sense of loss that we share the news of the untimely passing of one of our colleagues, Sam Shooshtary, on December 31. Sam was a valued member of the EOPS/CARE/CalWORKs team since 2007. Prior to that assignment, he served as an Instructional Assistant from 2000-2007.

On November 15, 2023, the U.S. Department of Education released new details on the redesigned and streamlined Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form. The improved FAFSA form will be available for students and parents by Dec. 31, 2023.
