Associate of Science Degree Programs
Miramar College's Aviation Operations Program offers two Associate in Science Degrees: Aviation Business Administration and Professional Aeronautics. To receive these degrees, students must successfully pass the following courses as well as meet all general education requirements established by the San Diego Community College District. Certificate of Achievement Programs
For those students who may already possess advanced degrees but are interested in adding an aviation specialty to their resume, the Certificate of Achievement focuses exclusively on aviation related courses. *There are additional class requirements for some certificates and degrees. Two options are available: Aviation Operations-Management and Aviation Operations-Professional Pilot.

Certificate of Performance Programs
To receive a Certificate of Performance, students must pass AVIA 133 Human Factors in Aviation and one of the following courses:
Certificate of Performance: Private Pilot
When passed with a C or better, indicates student qualification to take the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Examination.
Certificate of Performance: Helicopter Operations
When passed with a C or better, indicates student qualification to take the FAA Airmen Knowledge Examination.
Certificate of Performance: Remote Pilot
When passed with a C or better, indicates student qualification to take the FAA Remote Pilot Knowledge Examination.
Certificate of Performance: Instrument Pilot
When passed with a C or better, indicates student qualification to take the FAA Instrument Rating Knowledge Examination.
Certificate of Performance: Commercial Pilot
When passed with a C or better, indicates student qualification to take the FAA Commercial Pilot Knowledge Examination.
Certificate of Performance: Flight Instructor
When passed with a C or better, indicates student qualification to take the FAA Fundamentals of Instruction and the Certified Flight Instructor Knowledge Examination.
