Dr. Mohammed Soriano-Bilal, Ed.D., MBA is an accomplished Belonging Strategist, a poet, and an award-winning producer of both music and film. He is probably best known as the voice of reason on MTV's Real World San Francisco. He has spent the last 20 years using equity-focused strategy to help Fortune 500 companies like X (Twitter), Whirlpool, Google, and LinkedIn, and higher education institutions like Boston College, Yale, and Texas A&M remove blockages that stand in the way of innovation, growth, and impact. As a multi-disciplinarian artist, Mohammed has collaborated with Santana, Public Enemy, Ben Harper, De La Soul, Danny Glover, and Mos Def, with his original music featured in productions on NBC, the CW, and the Sundance Film Festival. Mohammed recently completed his doctorate at the University of California, Berkeley School of Education, where his research explores how networks inform and influence senior higher education leaders implementing organizational change. He served as the Director of IDEAL Advancement at Stanford University, where he oversaw multiple belonging initiatives, including institutional change, equity-centered communities of practice, inclusive talent acquisition, and learning and development for faculty, students, and staff.
