Before coming to Miramar College, I worked as a prosecuting attorney for almost 20 years, handling criminal cases from investigation and charging through trial, sentencing and appeal. My teaching method uses that lens of professional experience, drawing upon real-world examples and cases to bring abstract legal concepts into focus.
