What is TAP? What are the eligible majors?
The Transfer Alliance Program (TAP) offers Miramar students priority admission consideration to UCLA for majors listed within UCLA College, Public Affairs and Education, and Social Transformation. Alternate majors in UCLA College as an unrestricted major may also submit a TAP Certification Request, if all TAP requirements are met.

How can I get certified by Miramar Honors for UCLA TAP?
*Please note you will be requesting certification when you have applied for Transfer*
1. File a UC Application applying to UCLA in October/November and select a primary and alternate major that is eligible for TAP
-
Be sure to allow for your information to be released, so that your name will appear in the UCLA reports sent to the Honors Team
-
You may indicate UCLA TAP on the UC application, but it is not required; you will not receive TAP consideration until Miramar Honors submits your TAP certification
2. Complete the UCLA TAP Applicant Agreement in Dec/Jan/Feb. You can also review an email that was sent from the Honors program. This form is to authorize UCLA to release application information to Miramar College
-
You will need your UC Application ID, which will be provided to you when you complete the UC Application in October/November
-
List Miramar College as your primary campus on your Applicant Agreement form
3. Complete the Miramar Honors Certification Form (this form will be available at the end of Fall 2024/early Spring 2025)
-
Ensure Advanced Placement (AP) and official transcripts (outside of SDCCD) have been evaluated to ensure accuracy in units, gpa, and completion of general education and major preparation
-
Be prepared to have a list of the remaining course selections and Honors units you will be completing in the Spring semester
If BOTH steps are not completed by the deadline, we cannot guarantee the form will be sent to UCLA on time. Please make you complete the steps above (#1 & #2) within the deadlines listed above.
