Each year, our Sponsor-A-Family/Student Holiday Winterfest initiative provides financial and holiday support to our low-income student parents and former foster youth, many of whom face significant financial challenges during the holiday season.
With the incredible support of the Miramar College community, we’ve been able to bring joy and relief to many of our student families each year — and we’re excited to continue this tradition of giving! Thanks to your generosity, last year we supported 27 student parent families and 12 former foster youth students, helping make the holidays brighter for them.
This year we are honored to support a total of 45 student parents, 110 children, and 40 former foster youth students through our Sponsor-A-Family/Student Holiday Winterfest Initiative. With your support, we aim to provide gift cards for essential items to help our student parents and former foster youth manage financial challenges during the holiday season.
How you can support our student parents & former foster youth?
You can contribute individually or as a program/department by purchasing gift cards of any amount (Walmart, Target, etc.) or by writing a check payable to the Miramar Fiduciary: EOPS. Please drop off your donation (gift cards or check) at our office (K1-305) by 12/9/2025.
