Summer 2025 Drop for Non-Payment Update

We have some important updates for Summer 2025 Enrollment.

Drop for Non-Payment (DNP) is part of our commitment to supporting student success because dropping students from unpaid classes prevents them from accumulating debt owed to the college. However, technical issues have delayed our usual Summer aid timeline. Because students' Summer aid has not yet been applied to their account, many student accounts show a balance due. In response, we are taking the following measures to support student enrollment:

1. ‎No Drop for Non-Payment for Summer 2025

  • Students will NOT be dropped for non-payment (DNP) for Summer 2025.
  • This update applies to Summer only. We are still planning DNP for Fall 2025, which will occur in August.
  • Although students will not be dropped, they are responsible for paying any summer fees that are not covered by financial aid or a third party.
  • Note: It is important for students to drop any classes they do not plan to attend by the refund deadline for that class, to avoid owing fees for that class. Note that the refund deadline may differ from the drop deadline for a class. Please encourage students to look up the deadlines for each of their classes by clicking the calendar icon next to the class.

2. Pause on new enrollment holds for Summer and Fall 25 fee balances.

  • To facilitate students’ Summer and Fall enrollment, we have temporarily paused adding new enrollment holds (B41 Service Indicator) for Summer and Fall 2025 fees due.
  • These holds will resume after fall aid is awarded later this summer.

 3. Existing B41's will remain until balance is paid.

  • Students who already had a B41 Service Indicator from Spring 2025 or earlier will continue to have the B41 on their record until their balance is paid.
  • As always, a job runs to release the hold within 15 minutes after the student pays their balance.  Refer students to their student portal to view their current balance.
  • Payment Plans for Past Due Balances: A payment plan option is available for students with prior term balances of $150 or more, enabling them to pay the down the balance through monthly payments and continue their studies.
  • If students have questions about their balance, kindly refer them to the Student Accounting office.
