Miramar College will host its annual commencement ceremony Friday, May 17 at 10:00am on Compass Point.
Check-in for graduates begins at 8:00am in K1-107 located in the Student Services Building. Check-in ends at 9:30am. At that time, students will begin lining up for the procession.
Guests are limited to five per student and seating for guests will be on a first-come first-serve basis with seating beginning at 8:45am.

For the 2023-2024 academic year, Miramar College will confer 1,405 degrees and another 697 Certificate of Achievements for a total of 2,112 awards. The total amount of associate degrees awarded represents a 12% increase over last year. The College will also see a 26% rise over the number of certificate of achievements earned year over year.
Of the 1,405 associate degrees to be conferred, 697, or 49%, will be Associate Degrees for Transfer (ADT), thus demonstrating that Miramar College will have prepared nearly half its degree earning students for transfer to a 4-year university. Miramar College students earned 5% more ADT’s this year than last academic year.
Two-hundred and thirty-six first generation college students will also receive their degree.
Three-hundred-seventy-five students have registered to attend the ceremony to hear their names called.
Samdrea Hsu, a member of the Miramar College women’s indoor and beach volleyball teams, will be the student speaker. Hsu, a graduate of Westview High School in San Diego, is a 4.0 student studying computer engineering.
“I am delighted to see that our numbers of degree and certificates granted has grown greatly over the past year,” said Dr. Wesley Lundburg, president of San Diego Miramar College. “This improvement is a testament to the great work our faculty, staff and students have done the past year to improve our learning outcomes. I couldn’t be happier for the graduates and their families, and I thank them for entrusting Miramar College to assist them in meeting their educational goals.”
