On October 8, 2021, Miramar College’s REC Innovation Lab and its student founders attended the Startup San Diego Fair, hosted by Startup San Diego at Downtown Works Carlsbad. Startup San Diego is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to helping those in the entrepreneurship ecosystem here in San Diego.
The Startup Fair and Partner Expo had over 150 attendees and over 25 business startups gathered for an evening of community-building and networking.
After over a year of COVID-19, the event was a breath of fresh air for everyone attending. For the majority of the REC founders, this was the first time they were able to physically meet and engage with others in the San Diego entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The founders did an amazing job showcasing their businesses! They were able to set up their own tables and network with many investors, skilled specialists, and other entrepreneurs. The audience was able to try out products, look at prototypes, and gain a deeper understanding of the innovation behind each startup.
We are proud of all of the REC Innovation Lab student founders! Keep showing up, showing out, and giving everything you’ve got! Thank you Startup San Diego for this amazing event!
