Miramar College to Host Drive-Through Graduation Parade May 21

Miramar College will host a drive through graduation parade on Friday, May 21 starting at 10 a.m. The graduation parade will take place on campus and is expected to last two hours.

In order to help facilitate traffic, participants will be broken into two groups, graduates will last names A-M from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and last names N-Z from 11 a.m. to noon. Registered graduates will be notified about route instructions and where to enter and exit campus.

Regalia is not required for this event, nor will it be provided to students. If you would like to purchase regalia as a keepsake, you may do so at the following link:   https://www.jostens.com/apps/store/customer/1006785/San-Diego-Miramar-College/

Graduates who have purchased regalia are urged to wear it in recognition of their accomplishments.

Graduates will only be permitted to have one car in the parade. There will be no viewing area for family and friends, so if you would like them to join you, they must be able fit in the vehicle with the graduate.

Graduates may drive themselves, but if possible, the College would like each graduate to have a driver so that the graduate can sit in the front passenger seat. This will help facilitate the process of presenting you with your diploma cover. No motorcycles will be permitted.

If you do not have a car, arrangements can be made for you to participate, but you must reach out to Sandra Marquez at smarquez@sdccd.edu prior to May 14th.
