Miramar College now has grant funded opportunities with a focus on serving Military linked and underrepresented students. While that is the focus for serving military/underrepresented students, all students are encouraged to apply.
Miramar College has two college courses that are available completely grant funded including tuition, books and supplies for students in Summer 2021.
Biology 132-Applied Biology I is a 4 unit course focused on use of lab instruments/equipment, DNA extraction and analysis, solutions and dilutions, Molecular Biology, PCR, immunological techniques, bacterial cell culture. This class will be offered hybrid with on campus lab and some zoom pre-lab lectures. There will be a day class offering as well as evening class offering!
Biology 136-Quality and Business regulatory practices is a 3 Unit lecture online class focused on the basics of Quality training related to Biotechnology industry: GMP, GLP, ISO, FDA. This course uses online modules from ASQ for training.
