The San Diego Miramar College Foundation received a $5,000.00 sponsorship donation from U.S. Bank to support the Miramar College Foundation’s annual Invest in Success fundraising event to be held May 4, 2019 in Coronado. Invest in Success is the Foundation’s main vehicle for raising funds for its Freshman Scholarship fund.
“Again this year, U.S. Bank has been gracious enough to serve as a sponsor of our successful Invest in Success fundraiser and we can’t express our gratitude enough,” said Dr. Patricia Hsieh, president of San Diego Miramar College.
The goal of this year’s Invest in Success is to raise $45,000.00 for the Freshman Scholarship fund.
Each year, the Miramar College Freshman Scholarship program provides a $300.00 scholarship to 15 incoming freshman, three from each of the College’s service area high schools of Mira Mesa, Serra, Scripps Ranch, University City and Twain Mesa School. These scholarships are awarded each April at the College’s Scholarship Awards Ceremony held on campus.
The Foundation has an ambitious overall goal of raising $375,000.00 to endow the annual freshman scholarships.
