The Miramar College Foundation will ring in the new year by accepting a generous grant of $8,000.00 from the Ellen G. & Edward G. Wong Family Foundation. The grant will go toward the College’s general scholarship fund.
“We are extremely grateful for the support of the Ellen G. & Edward G. Wong Family Foundation,” said Dr. Patricia Hsieh, president of San Diego Miramar College. “Each year, thanks in part to donors such as the Ellen G. & Edward G. Wong Family Foundation, the College is able to provide crucial scholarship dollars to students in need. The College cannot sustain these types of financial gifts without the continued generous support of our community partners.”
In 2017, Miramar College hosted its 23rd annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony and gave out $155,274.95 in scholarships. In April 2018, the College will again host its annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony on April 25 in the L-105 auditorium.
