Bio
I was born in Dallas, Texas and graduated (B.S. Chemistry, 2000) from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma. I went to graduate school at the University of Oklahoma and received a Ph.D. (Analytical Chemistry, 2006). My wife and I then spent a year traveling and living abroad. During that time I worked in the lab of Fei Liu at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. We returned to the United States and I worked at Point Loma Nazarene University (2007-2010) and a few colleges (Cuyamaca, Southwestern, and MiraCosta) in the San Diego area before being hired at Miramar College in 2014. My hope is to support and encourage all students wherever they are on their journey. In my classes, I want students to feel known, engage with the material, and to share in the journey with their classmates.
