Why did you choose Miramar?
I chose Miramar College for its close-knit community and the excellent resources they offer to students with dependents.
How has Miramar helped you on your educational journey?
Miramar has supported my success in many ways. I've had the privilege of being part of the EOPS, CalWorks, and CARE programs, as well as respectfully utilizing our Jet Fuel Pantry, and Mental Health Services.
What is your favorite memory from your time at Miramar?
I can’t pinpoint a single favorite memory from my time at Miramar, but being a work-study and a full-time student has allowed me to create many wonderful memories, make friends, and build lasting relationships with faculty.
Would you have any advice for new students?
Take the opportunity to get involved on campus. Join clubs, apply for a work-study position, and make use of student resources like the Jet Fuel Pantry and Lounge. Attend the many events organized by ASG, Student Affairs, and other departments each semester. By doing so, you’ll find a sense of family, unity, and most importantly, a feeling of belonging.
