Guided Pathways Steering (GPS) Committee

Guided Pathways Steering (GPS) Committee consists of a steering committee and workgroups, as directed by faculty and staff (via a survey). The GPS committee is currently working towards helping improve the student journey through the Thorough Redesign of the College.

Thorough Redesign of the College

  • organizing programs into career-focused meta-majors
     (students can explore academic and career options in multiple areas)
  • mapping clear paths to degrees, employment, and further education;
    (students are better able to choose a program of study)
  • structuring advising to help students choose, enter, and complete a program of study;
    (students develop a complete plan based on the program map of their choice)
  • rethinking academic support to enable students to pass courses;
    (students are better prepared for employment and further education)
  • training faculty and staff
    (assists faculty in ensuring that students are building the skills necessary to succeed in employment and further education)
