We are excited to invite you to the First-Gen Festival on Tuesday, November 4th from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Compass Point. This special event honors students who are the first in their family to attend college, recognizing their unique challenges and celebrating their remarkable achievements. At Miramar College, we are proud to support and uplift our vibrant first-generation college student community. In celebration of First-Gen National Day, the First-Gen Festival is being hosted by Extended Opportunities Programs and Services (EOPS), Miramar College Promise/Retention, and Veterans. This event aims to empower and celebrate our first-generation students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
Join us for a variety of fun and engaging activities, including:
- Bracelet making
- Games
- Manifest board
- Photo booth
- Resource fair
