Prospective Student Meet & Greet Info Session

Are you interested in pursuing higher education and exploring the world of entrepreneurship? The REC Innovation Lab and the Miramar Dreamers Support Office are hosting an information session so prospective students can learn more about San Diego Miramar College and our entrepreneurship programs.

During this info session and meet and greet, you will hear about the variety of academic programs available at Miramar College as well as the many student support services that offer resources and support programs to students interested in starting their own businesses.

Additionally, you will learn more about the GET Cooking program—a food-based business program that offers training, support, and resources to help entrepreneurs start and grow their own food-based ventures.

The San Diego Food Justice Project, made up of the City Heights Community Development Corporation (CHCDC), REC Innovation Lab, COOK Alliance, Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation (JCNI), and Business For Good (BFG) will give San Diegans training and grants of $2,500-$7,500 through the G.E.T. Cooking Training Program (Grant for Entrepreneurship Training and Home Cooking Program). This grant money is for your business and will never have to be repaid.

The program is still accepting applications for the summer cohort on a rolling basis. The program runs from July 10, 2023 - August 12, 2023. Applications received after 06/01/2023 will not be considered for the Summer 2023 Cohort 4 group. More information about the program is available at recinnovationlab.com/about-us/getcooking.
