This introductory presentation will highlight the courses and student support services that the Child Development Department at Miramar College offers. It will provide information regarding the steps to take to participate in practicum, observations, and activity plans at the college's Child Development Center.

Presenter Bios
Rekha Chhabra has been with the Miramar College Child Development Department for over 13 years and has served many roles within the department. Currently her role is a Professional Expert to assist prospective and current students in navigating the multi-faceted field of Early Childhood Education as well as coordinating the alumni activities. Rekha hold an Associates degree in Child Development with Honors and a Bachelors in Zoology with Honors along with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Naturopathy. She is married for over 28 years with three beautiful kids -a 26 year old son, an 18 year old daughter, and precious 4 year old fur baby!
Jenny Hallock currently works at the Miramar College Child Development Center supporting the Lab School and its student teachers. She is an alumnus of Miramar's Child Development program, has assisted fellow students as a SI tutor, and was a parent of a child served by the Miramar CDC. She earned her Bachelors in Studio Art from Hamilton College.
