The Miramar College Foundation held its first-ever Day of Giving on November 19, and the Jets community rose to the challenge.
During Jets Give: Generosity Takes Flight, Miramar faculty and staff were invited to come together to support students through the power of giving. To mark the day, the Foundation also hosted a campus-wide Afternoon Sweet Break on Campus Point, with churros and a sweet-and-savory build-your-own popcorn bar for all to enjoy. Participation in the inaugural Jets Give Day provided a strong start for a new Miramar tradition, helping to build positive momentum for the Foundation’s giving programs and a growing culture of philanthropy on campus. With new payroll contributions added to existing support, the Foundation will now receive $10,000 per year in sustained funding for student basic needs, scholarships, and more.
The Miramar College Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who took part in Jets Give Day, including the anonymous donor who generously matched payroll commitments through November 2026. This support has laid a promising foundation for future years, ensuring more students have access to the resources they need to achieve their educational goals.
