Paul Johnson Joins Miramar College Foundation Board as Community Member

Paul Johnson, Vice President and Business Relationship Manager for U.S. Bank, has been selected as the newest community board member to serve on the San Diego Miramar College Foundation Board of Directors. In a unanimous vote taken at the Feb. 19, 2025 foundation board meeting, Johnson was elected to a 3-year term. 

 

Paul Johnson is a Vice President and Business Banking Relationship Manager for the Business Banking Group of U.S. Bank. The 27-year resident of San Diego, is responsible for providing financial solutions for businesses. He previously served on the board of 211 of San Diego and is the Board Secretary for San Diego Health Connect, San Diego's regional healthcare information exchange.

 

With nearly four decades of experience in the financial services industry, Johnson joined Union Bank in 2009 as a Business Development Officer. He started his business career while an undergrad at Harvard University where he had a summer internship at the US Department of Commerce’s Office of Minority Business Enterprise in Washington, D.C.  He has held successful sales positions at Xerox, Citibank, The Money Store, Bank One, Sovereign Bank, and Wells Fargo. Johnson received MUFG Americas Top Producer’s Award nationally in his division in 2019.

 

Johnson is involved in business diversity, access to capital, and nonprofit organizations in his community. He began his service to his community when he was 10 years old by hosting a Muscular Dystrophy carnival in his back yard. He served on the board of his church where he was a capital campaign manager for a new church campus.  

 

Johnson was born in Tachikawa, Japan, grew up in West Berlin, Germany and various cities in the United States.

The Miramar College Foundation, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation, was officially created on August 21, 1994 collaborates with San Diego Miramar College to achieve student success by empowering students to overcome barriers, accomplish their educational goals, and thrive in their future lives. 

 

Johnson’s term begins immediately.
