The holidays can be an extra challenging time of our economically disadvantaged students. You and your colleagues can make the holidays a bit less stressful for student parents and former foster youth students! With the support of the awesome Miramar College Community, over the past two years - we have been able to support over 100 families/students and provide gifts to over 250 individuals!
EOPS/CARE/NextUp and CalWORKs would love to have your support once again!
Two ways to support!
Pick a Student or Family:

- Purchase items to be distributed to student families/students from their wish list.
- We want to offer families the opportunity to sponsor at various levels, thus we have individual students and family options ranging from 2 – 6 members.
- There is no need to buy all the items on the wish list.
- We suggest that you spend $40 - $50 per individual/family member – of course, you are welcome to spend more if your budget allows
- Drop items off at the EOPS & CalWORKs Office (K1-305) by December 9th. No need to gift wrap the items, we will have large holiday themed bags to put your items in when you drop off.
- Items will be distributed to families/students at a Winter Fest Event happening December 12th!
Make a Donation:
If you do not have time to go shopping, feel free to buy gift cards (Walmart or Target tend to be popular) or make a check out to the Miramar Fiduciary: EOPS and drop it off in our office (K1 - 305), we will do the shopping for you!
Please consult your tax advisor to determine if your donation is eligible for a tax deduction.
