In honor of Native American Heritage Month, Miramar College held a Kumeyaay flag raising ceremony on Nov. 4 in front of the Administration Building. The College hopes to one day add a third flag pole so that the Kumeyaay Flag can fly permanently over campus. The ceremony featured several student speakers, bird singers and members of the local tribe. It was covered by KUSI-TV.
