The CDC recommends that the best time to get a flu vaccine is now! (Sept-October). We are promoting FREE FLU shots now, while supplies last, to help avoid illness especially near finals. The protection will peak weeks following flu and COVID-19 vaccination and remain effective for five months or longer.

While we recommend other respiratory vaccinations this season, we do not presently supply Covid and RSV, and suggest seeking these through your medical provider or at the following FREE county supported immunization partner- Link to: Champions for Health-Link.
Vaccinations are important, have shown to clearly reduce disease severity, do not prevent infection from occurring. Try this link for more information on locating county clinics and other vaccinations link
FREE COVID TEST kits are available at Student services K1 and Health Center K2-102. Take steps to prevent the spread of respiratory viruses. Stay home and away from others if you have respiratory virus symptoms-(link to NIH). You can go back to your normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, both are true:
- Your symptoms are getting better overall, and
- You have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication).
When you go back to your normal activities, follow guidelines for precautions over the next 5 days, such as hand and respiratory hygiene, masking, physical distancing, and re-testing. Help protect others who maybe at increased risk. Keep in mind that you may still be able to spread the virus that made you sick, even if you are feeling better. You are likely to be less contagious after this time, depending on factors like how long you were sick or how sick you were.
