Great news – as in previous semesters, Miramar College is utilizing HEERF funds to provide students with direct student aid. In keeping with the HEERF regulations, we have adjusted the disbursement process slightly this semester to make it a bit easier on students to more quickly access these funds. As an initial step, we have already automatically issued awards in the amount of $1,200 to 3,139 students with the highest level of need (as defined by their CCPG/Pell grant status). This is a total of $3.7 million dollars in direct aid to students that has already been disbursed this semester. Currently enrolled students, who were not automatically awarded, are now eligible to apply for a $1,200 grant award through the Edquity App. This second campaign will run from today (3/17) through Tuesday, March 22. Eligible students will then be awarded funds on March 23. It’s important to note that a single student may only receive one award per semester, so this second campaign is only for those student who were not already automatically awarded. Students enrolled for the Spring 2022 semester are eligible to apply for emergency grants. The deadline to apply is March 22nd at 11:59pm. Grants are limited to only one award per semester. To apply, all you need to do is complete the easy steps listed below:
You are encouraged to select all categories where you need assistance, as HEERF can help with more than one category of need, if awarded. Once you complete an application, Edquity will provide you with an application decision 24 hours after the program close date on March 22, 2022. Awards are limited.
