Miramar College Awards Almost a Quarter of a Million Dollars at Annual Awards Ceremony

 

Miramar College awarded nearly $250,000 in scholarships at its 25th annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony held April 10. This year, the Miramar College Foundation administered 50 awards totaling $165,250.00. An additional 40 external awards, totaling $83,000.00 were awarded to deserving students bringing the grand total awarded to $248,250.00, an increase of $75,250.00 from the previous year.

“San Diego Miramar College is thrilled to reach almost a quarter of a million dollars in financial assistance to our students,” said Dr. Patricia Hsieh, president of Miramar College. “Each year our generous community partners, along with the San Diego Miramar College Foundation, work tirelessly to provide this financia1 support to our deserving students.”

The Miramar College Foundation, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation, was officially created on August 21, 1994 and is committed to supporting the diverse population of Miramar College students by raising scholarship funds.

The annual scholarship awards ceremony is organized by the College’s Financial Aid and Scholarship Office.
