With special guest Dr. Mardi Parelman
In recognition of National Nutrition Month, Mental Health Counseling invites Miramar community members interested in adding some wellness and self-care into their routine to participate in this introduction to mindful eating workshop.
Mindfulness is a centuries-old practice of moment-to-moment, intentional, non-judgmental awareness of one’s thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations. Mindful Based Eating (MB-EAT) is an evolving research and evidence-based approach to nourishment and well-being. Through the practice of mindful eating, one learns to listen to what the body needs as well as increase enjoyment of food without guilt, shame, and without overeating. MB-EAT is culturally inclusive and weight inclusive.
For this virtual event, you will need:
- Four (4) raisins or dried cranberries and
