Given that October is Cyber Security Awareness Month as well as Squirrel Appreciation Month, Miramar will be hosting the first of what we hope to be annual squirrel, er, cyber security awareness events! Please join us from 12:00 - 1:30 in the LLRC building where will have some light snacks from 12:00 - 12:30 and the main event will occur in the LLRC auditorium from 12:30 - 1:30. We have two guest speakers, Drew Facetti, the Cybersecurity Program Manager for the San Diego Law Enforcement Coordination Center (SD-LECC) as well as Christopher Blackmore, the Associate Vice Chancellor of Information Technology & Learning Systems for the Riverside Community College District.
It is my understanding that neither Drew nor Chrostopher will spend much time discussing Pizza, so while that is clearly a huge negative, the subject of Cyber Security is very important, so please consider joining us tomorrow, October 13th form 12:00 - 1:30 in the LLRC back patio and auditorium. If you are an interested student, work with student records, financial information or enterprise systems, please consider attending twice, if necessary!
