Starting in Fall 2021, San Diego Miramar College will establish an annual Equity Summit featuring "The Constance M. Carroll Lecture Series." The Summit will also feature the 2021 ASG Art for Equity Scholarship and Art Contest in connection with the annual Equity Summit to honor the newly retired Chancellor of the San Diego Community College District. Dr. Carroll served 17 years as the District Chancellor and was employed by SDCCD for 24 years. She retired from her position on June 30, 2021.
The Equity Summit will be a two-day event held on the evening of Thursday, Oct. 28, and during the day on Friday, Oct. 29. On Friday, Oct. 29, Chancellor Emerita Carroll will provide the plenary address and the campus will engage in several presentations and workshops connecting to the theme, Leading for Equity - Embracing Diversity and Community at Miramar College.
