Spring Open House April 25

 

Miramar College will host its annual Spring Open House on Thursday, April 25 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. The event will begin in L-105, located on the ground floor of the LLRC Building. This is the great event for prospective Miramar College students and their families to attend and learn more about the programs and resources available at Miramar College.

Important 2019 Summer Registration Information

 

The 2019 Summer session at Miramar College is fast approaching! This summer Miramar College is gearing up to offer over 280 sections of its most popular courses. However, a new content management system, called MySDCCD, is about to debut within the San Diego Community College District. As a result, here are some key dates, times and links you should be aware before registration.

Miramar College Once Again Improves Degree Completion Numbers

 

For the second consecutive year, Miramar College will graduate its largest class ever. As a matter of fact, Miramar College will improve on its degree completion numbers by 18% over last academic year. Miramar College will confer 1,261 associate degrees during its 2019 Commencement ceremony to be held on Friday, May 17 inside Hourglass Fieldhouse. The ceremony will begin at 1pm and conclude by 3pm.

Miramar College Improves Transfer Numbers to San Diego State University

San Diego Miramar College has seen a dramatic rise over the last two years in the number of students successfully securing admission into San Diego State University via transfer. Data provided by the San Diego Community College District shows that the College witnessed a 45% increase in the number of applicants accepted for admission from Fall 2017 over Fall 2019. As a result, the number of students intending to enroll also grew by 57%.

Miramar College Awarded $1.4 Million Contract by California Energy Commission

San Diego Miramar College received a $1,395,110.00 contract from the California Energy Commission to assist with the development of an alternative fuels and advanced vehicle technology workforce training program. The San Diego Community College District Board of Trustees accepted the contract at its June 13, 2019 board meeting.
