New Parking Structure Opens

A brand new parking structure opened on Dec. 4 on the southeast side of campus. The new G4 parking structure features 499 new spaces for students, staff, and faculty. The new structure can be accessed by Gold Coast Drive via South Campus Drive, Miramar College Driveway, and Hillery Drive via North Campus Drive. This new structure will help tie the campus together with better access on and off campus. The G4 structure has 48 marked spots for staff, 9 disabled parking spots and 442 student parking spots. Please keep in mind that parking permits are required to park in this structure.   

Three Miramar College Students Named JKC Scholarship Semifinalists

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation has selected 534 high-achieving community college students from across the U.S. as semifinalists to compete for its Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, from a pool of nearly 2,500 applicants. This highly competitive scholarship will offer selected finalists as much as $40,000 per year for up to three years to complete their bachelor's degrees at selective four-year colleges and universities.

Miramar College Receives $2,500 Sponsorship Grant from Union Bank

The San Diego Miramar College Foundation received a $2,500.00 sponsorship donation from Union Bank to help support its annual Invest in Success fundraising event to be held May 5, 2018 in Rancho Santa Fe. The annual Invest in Success Fundraiser is the Miramar College Foundation’s main vehicle for raising funds for its Freshman Scholarship program.

*parking permits are $40.00 and can be purchased either online or at the Student Accounting office located on the second floor of Student Services building. Parking permits can be picked up at the Campus Police office located on the northeast side of campus near the G-3 parking structure.

San Diego Foundation Awards Miramar College $75,000 Grant to Improve Career Awareness and College Success

 

Under-represented students pursuing STEM degrees will get a financial boost in 2018 after the Miramar College Foundation was awarded a $75,000 grant from the Science & Technology Grants Program for the project, Community Outreach Supply Chain Experience to Improve Career Awareness and College Success in San Diego Region Community College Students (SCE Project). The San Diego Foundation awarded grant runs from January 15, 2018 through January 15, 2019.
