New Students
If you are new to DSPS Services in the San Diego Community College District, the first step in getting connected is to register for DSPS services.
Please note: You must have completed the SDCCD Application prior to registering for DSPS and you will need to provide Verification of Disability (VOD).
Continuing Students
Appointments
Miramar DSPS offers 1 hour same-day and pre-scheduled appointments. Call us at (619) 388-7312 to inquire about availability for all our counseling options.
Current students who have received services from DSPS at any of the three colleges (City, Mesa, Miramar) and would like to request an appointment to meet with a Miramar DSPS counselor may submit an appointment request.
Students who have received services from Miramar DSPS in the current or previous semester can request an accommodation letter for the current or upcoming semester through the MyDSPS Portal. Select "Request Accommodation Letter" once you are registered for classes.
Request Accommodation Letters
Disability Support Programs and Services (DSPS) department at Miramar College offers a variety of services for students with verified disabilities. Examples include students with learning disabilities, impairments in vision, hearing, and mobility, mental health conditions, acquired brain injuries, and other medical disabilities.
Services are provided in compliance with state and federal legislation, including Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA). Student participation in the program is voluntary.
The DSPS Office serves students with disabilities who are taking Miramar courses offered both on campus and online.
Students are encouraged to contact the Disability Support Programs and Services Office in the early stages of their college planning.
