Miramar College to Field Women's Volleyball Program Starting Fall 2018

Women’s volleyball will become the 6th intercollegiate sport at San Diego Miramar College starting fall of 2018. The Jets first match will be played August 25, 2018.

Veteran coach Mark Smith will serve as head coach. Smith is currently looking for athletes who would welcome an opportunity to continue their playing careers at the collegiate level. If interested, please contact Coach Smith at 619-388-7232 or email him at masmith@sdccd.edu. The athletic department can be reached at 619-388-7715.

“We plan to field a very competitive roster that will compete in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference,” said Smith. “Our women’s volleyball program will offer a high level opportunity for young women to continue their volleyball careers and be showcased to 4-year institutions.”

Athletes will need to register for 12 units of classes starting with the fall 2018 semester to be eligible to play.
