Miramar College Hosts Scholarship Awards Ceremony April 30

Miramar College will award 155 deserving students just over $139,000 in scholarship aid at its 32nd annual scholarship awards ceremony held April 30 from 5:00pm-7:00pm in front of the LLRC Building. Miramar College students, their guests and families, along with the College’s classified professional staff and faculty, San Diego Community College District officials and community partners will gather for the early evening celebration.  

Two Miramar College Students Named Semifinalists for the Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship

Two students from San Diego Miramar College are among nine San Diego Community College District students named as semifinalists for the highly competitive Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, one of the nation’s most prestigious awards for community college students. The scholarship provides up to $55,000 a year to complete a bachelor’s degree.

Miramar College to Host Second Annual Powwow March 21

Miramar College will host its Second Annual Youth & Social Powwow, a community celebration honoring Native American culture, identity, and intergenerational connection. The event is presented in partnership with the San Diego Unified School District Title VI Indian Education Program, which provides cultural, academic, and community support services to American Indian and Alaska Native students throughout the district.

Dr. Boglárka Kiss Named Dean of Liberal Arts

Dr. Boglárka Kiss has been named Dean of Liberal Arts. Dr. Kiss brings a rare blend of strategic leadership, creative practice, and student-centered impact to her work. She began her career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, delivering results in the healthcare and technology industries and contributing to the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s successful brand revitalization and its move to the now-iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall.
