Honors Transfer Agreements

San Diego Miramar Honors Program has transfer agreements that may support you in meeting your transfer goal. The Honors Program is part of the Honors Transfer Council of California (HTCC) and UCLA’s Transfer Alliance Program (TAP). 

Students completing HTCC honors programs enjoy enhanced transfer consideration and other benefits at partner campuses. Benefits may include guaranteed or priority acceptance consideration, special scholarships, recognition of honors coursework as an indicator of academic rigor, and other academic, cultural, and social benefits. 

Universities partnered with Miramar College and the HTCC include: 

California State Universities (CSU’s): 

  • San Diego State University (SDSU), Weber Honors College - H2H ONLY 

  • CalPoly Pomona (CPP), Kellog Honors College - H2H ONLY   

  • San Jose State University (SJSU), HonorsX - H2H ONLY 

  • CSU Fullerton (CSUF), University Honors Program - H2H ONLY   

  • CSU Long Beach (CSULB), University Honors Program - H2H ONLY   

  • CSU San Bernardino (CSUB), University Honors Program - H2H ONLY  

  • CSU Bakersfield (CSUB) , Helen Hawk Honors Program - H2H ONLY 

University of California (UC’s): 

  • University of California, Irvine (UCI): Admission consideration with 3.7 UC transferable gpa and completion of Miramar’s Honors Program requirements and certification by the Honors program is required

  • University of California, Riverside (UCR), University of Honors- H2H ONLY- 3.5 UC transferable gpa and completion of Miramar’s Honors Program requirements

Note: There may be additional requirements with these partnerships such as gpa requirement, submitting an additional application to the Honors program at the institution, and additional deadlines per the Honors program/institutions, etc. 
 

Miramar College also certifies students for the UCLA Transfer Alliance Program (TAP). Benefits of TAP include priority consideration for admission to specific majors and meaningful linkages with UCLA such as on-campus informational meetings and tours, library privileges, and opportunities to attend selected UCLA cultural and athletic events. Students who complete Miramar’s TAP requirements have an admittance rate of 65-75% to UCLA versus Non-TAP students, 18-25%.
